Cancellation and refunds

My event is cancelled or postponed: what happens?

If an event is cancelled, your tickets are refunded by the organizer to the payment method used for the order. If it is postponed, your tickets remain valid for the new date; any refund options are shown on the event page and in the email sent to you.

Event cancelled

  • The event shows the status “Cancelled” and sales are closed.
  • You are informed by email at the address used for your order.
  • The organizer refunds orders from their space, to the original payment method. The credit then appears on your bank account within the time your bank takes. You don't have to do anything; if the refund is slow to arrive, make a request from your order (see below).
  • The QR codes of refunded tickets stop working.

Event postponed

The status “Postponed” is shown with the organizer's message. Your tickets remain valid for the new date, with no action on your part. If the new date doesn't suit you, check the conditions shown on the event page, then follow the procedure described in Request a refund.

Event changed

A change of venue, line-up or times does not automatically entitle you to a refund: it all depends on how significant the change is. Write to the organizer or to ShotEvents using the contact form.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to request a refund for a cancelled event?
Not necessarily: the organizer refunds orders from their space and notifies you. If you see nothing after a few days, request it from your order page in My orders.
How long does a refund take?
The refund is sent as soon as possible; the credit to your account then depends on your bank and can take a few business days.
