Refund policy

Translation provided for information only; the French version prevails. This document must be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. No legal review has been recorded yet.

This policy sets out when a ticket is refunded and how to make a request. It supplements the terms of sale. It does not say that all tickets are non-refundable: each situation is examined in light of the law and the event's conditions.

1.Principles

  • Tickets are sold by the event organizer; ShotEvents, as its agent, collects payment and issues refunds on its behalf. You contact ShotEvents for any refund.
  • Refunds are made to the payment method used for the order, never in cash or to another method, unless you expressly agree.
  • A refunded ticket is invalidated: its QR code no longer gives access to the event.
  • A refund decision is recorded on the server and confirmed by the payment provider before it becomes final.

2.Cancelled event

If the event is cancelled, we refund everything you paid: the ticket price and the service fees. You are informed by email. To obtain the refund, write to us through the contact form (topic “Refund”) with your order number. We refund no later than 14 days after receiving your request. How long it then takes for the money to appear in your account depends on your bank and may take several business days.

If the organizer bears the service fees, you did not pay any service fees and there is nothing to refund under that heading.

3.Postponed event

If the event is postponed, your tickets remain valid for the new date, with no action needed. If the new date does not suit you, you may request a refund of everything you paid, service fees included, for 30 days from our information email. We write to you at the email address of your order as soon as the new date is known. The refund is started within 14 days of your request.

4.Significant change to the event

A change of venue, date or program (headline artist) that makes the service materially different from the one you bought may justify a refund. Tell us about your situation through the contact form: the request is examined together with the organizer and you receive the reasoned answer by email.

5.Organizer's refund conditions

For cases not covered by the law (personal impediment, change of mind), the organizer may provide a cancellation policy, for example up to a deadline. It is displayed on the event page before purchase, in the refund conditions section. Where there is no such statement, a ticket for an event held on a set date is not refundable for personal convenience. In that case, service fees are refunded only if the organizer agrees to the refund.

6.Right of withdrawal

You do not have the 14-day right of withdrawal when you buy a ticket for a set date: Article L. 221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code (leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period). This information is repeated before payment. Conversely, it does not apply to tickets that are not tied to a specific date or period: the 14-day right of withdrawal then exists.

7.Official resale tickets

The buyer of a resale ticket is refunded in the same cases (cancelled or postponed event) and by ShotEvents; the price paid to the individual seller, if already paid, is recovered by ShotEvents from that seller. The seller of a ticket put up for resale cannot withdraw once the ticket has been sold.

8.Payment error, duplicate payment, technical issue

  • Double payment for the same order: the amount charged in excess is refunded.
  • Payment confirmed but no ticket issued: we issue the tickets or we refund you.
  • Payment not completed: no ticket has been issued; if an amount remains debited, it is returned to you.

9.How to make a request

  1. Have your order number to hand (in your confirmation email or in “My orders”).
  2. Write to us through the contact form, topic “Refund”.
  3. We acknowledge receipt, examine the request together with the organizer, and send you the reasoned decision by email.
  4. If the request is accepted, the refund is started with the payment provider within 14 days.

Tickets obtained through an unauthorized resale, fraud or a copied ticket are not refunded.

10.Disagreement

If you dispute our response, you may use the consumer mediator free of charge:

  • Mediator: CM2C (Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice) – https://www.cm2c.net – 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France.

Disputing a payment with your bank is also possible, but we ask you to contact us first, which generally allows a faster resolution.
